Each Trailing A Dreamworld

Multi-channel, immersive sound installation (2026)

Each Trailing A Dreamworld a multi-channel soundscape and multimedia installation across digital and physical mediums that explores the impact of culture, economics, and the technosphere on co-evolution and ecologies through the synaesthesiatic capacity and embodied potential of neural technologies.

The installation comprises narratives illustrating the interwoven forces of nature, technology, commerce, aesthetics, and culture through the motif of orchids. Through these research-based, poetic narratives, the blurred boundaries between the natural and the artificial, the biological and the technological come into focus, revealing the complicated interdependencies of human thriving in a post-digital age.

Orchids are the largest and most diverse family of flowering plants in the world, native to a vast range of habitats as well as being some of the most cultivated, mass-produced, and expensive flowers on the planet. In short, they are symbols of the interconnectedness of disparate participants within an ecosystem; they embody the power of the network. These are appealing qualities as we consider human and technological adaptation in a rapidly changing world. Each Trailing A Dreamworld asks the question of not only how we can survive on a damaged planet, but how we can thrive together, beautifully?
