September 2017 - CURRENT EXHIBITION - a new supercut video from my ongoing collaborative research project Avatar as Prosthesis is currently at UNSW Galleries in Sydney as part of the exhibition Group Therapy, curated by Vanessa Bartlett. List of artists: Katriona Beales, Miyarrka Media, Lauren Moffatt, George Khut, Erica Scourti, Institute for New Feeling, Gretta Louw, Superflex, Jennifer Kanary Nikolova, Dora Garcia, Melane Manchot, Richard Bell, Kate Owens and Neeta Madahar, Bonney Djuric, Lily Hibberd and Jenny McNally, members of the Parramatta Female Factory Precinct Memory Project.
27 - 29 October 2017 - UPCOMING - I will be one of five artists in residence at the Mozilla Foundation's MozFest at Ravensbourne College in London, in an open-studio style exhibition called MozEx curated by Irini Papadimitriou of V&A and Luca Damiani of Tate Gallery, alongside artists An Xiao Mina, Paolo Cirio, Archana Prasad, and Brooklyn Pakathi. 7 November 2017 - UPCOMING - two of my pieces, Controlling_Connectivity and Avatar as Prosthesis will be shown at a screening about digitalisation, surveillance, and networks at Kino Breitwand Starnberg for the Kunst & Museumsverein Starnberger See. The screening includes video works by Susanne Steinmassl and Julia Fuhr Mann, Faezeh Nikozaad, and Narges Kalhor. I'll be present at the event to discuss the work with curator Franziska Stöhr.
December 2017 - UPCOMING - I am curating an expanded version of Networking the Unseen, which will open at the Villa Merkel in December, 2017. The exhibition is a result of the Bahnwaerter Stipendium that I was honoured to receive from the city of Esslingen am Neckar. September 2017 - students from my course with Dr Karin Guminski at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Munich over the 2016-17 winter semester as part of Avatar as Prosthesis presented their work at the ARS Electronica in the campus exhibition Sense of Space and Time at POSTCITY in Linz, Austria.
August 2017 - Colonise the Cloud was selected for the Lumen Prize Shortlist. More info.
July 2017 - the Animated GIF series Colonise the Cloud was named in the Lumen Prize Longlist, 2017 in the 'Web-based Art' category. A piece from the series was also included in an Arterial event in London; Women, Art and Technology.
May 2017 - artist talks at Stanford, University of San Francisco, and Stony Brook University (Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery) and a lecture/presentation and workshop at the Gray Area Festival. A video of the Gray Area talk will be released soon..
March - July 2017 - several works from my series The Cloud were included in the exhibition No Secrets! Bilder der Ueberwachung, curated by Rudolf Scheutle, at the Stadtmuseum Munich alongside artists Florian Freier, Tactical Technology Collective, Susan Morris, Ed Fornieles, and many more.
April 2017 - my work The Face-Swap Archive was included in the online exhibition Mermaids and Unicorns, curated by Carlotta Meyer, Benoit Palop, and Tina Sauerlaender.
October 2016 - February 2017 - collaboration with the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet in Munich, Dr Karin Guminski, the Pfennigparade, an organisation supporting disabled artists based in Munich, and the Kulturreferat (Cultural Department) as part of my artistic research project, Avatar as Prosthesis.
